FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Boost Oxygen can be purchased online, directly through us. CLICK HERE to view our store or see a list of Retailers Here.

Why is it light?

What is the advantage to using a mask?

The ergonomic mask was designed and patented by Boost Oxygen to provide a convenient apparatus that can be operated by using only one hand. It also directs the oxygen flow efficiently into the mouth or nose.

How do I increase the oxygen flow when I first use the can?

To increase the initial flow, simply move your finger up the trigger to the base of the mask (towards your nose) and push down from there.

How many inhalations are in a Boost Oxygen canister?

The 3 Liter Pocket Size Boost Oxygen canisters equate to approximately 60 seconds of continuous oxygen flow. Medium Boost Oxygen canisters contain 5 liters of Aviator’s Breathing Oxygen, which is up to 100 one-second inhalations. Large Boost Oxygen canisters contain 10 liters of Aviator’s Breathing Oxygen, which equates to over 200 seconds of continuous oxygen flow, or over 200 one-second inhalations.

What are the instructions for use?

Place mask under nose and over mouth. Press trigger down to activate flow. Breath in through the mouth and hold 1-2 seconds, exhaling normally. Repeat 3-5 times or as needed.

How do I know when I need to replace my Boost Oxygen canister?

Is Boost Oxygen flammable?

No. Oxygen is not a fuel itself, but when combined with a fuel and ignition, it can serve to accelerate the chemical reaction.

Can I use Boost Oxygen if I have a lung condition?

Boost Oxygen is not a substitute for individuals who have been prescribed Medical Oxygen (99% purity) for health reasons. It is solely intended for recreational use.

Boost Oxygen states that it is “NOT for medical or prescription use.” What does this mean?

Oxygen therapies that are prescribed by a medical doctor to treat medical conditions are completely different from Boost Oxygen. Boost Oxygen is recreational Aviator’s Breathing Oxygen (95% pure), not USP medical oxygen (defined as 99.2% or above). Although both are produced in the same manner, recreational oxygen is designed for healthy people looking to experience the benefits of recreational oxygen in the different facets of their life. It is not intended for use by anyone who has asthma, lung ailments or heart problems, or as a substitute for physician-prescribed or life-saving oxygen.

Can I take Boost Oxygen on a passenger plane?

Although Boost Oxygen is an all-natural and safe product, the FAA and TSA do not allow recreational oxygen in carry-on or checked baggage.
