Antworten auf 13 häufige Fragen über Boost-Sauerstoff

We answer 13 common questions about Boost Oxygen! People who discover Boost Oxygen portable supplemental oxygen for the first time often have several common questions about our product. We have compiled all of these common questions into one comprehensive article.

Question: Is Boost Oxygen the same as medical-grade oxygen?

ANSWER: The most common question we are asked is how Boost Oxygen differs from medical-grade oxygen. Our product is not a substitute for individuals who have been prescribed medical oxygen for health reasons. Boost Oxygen is intended for non-medical use. Oxygen therapies that are prescribed by a doctor to treat medical conditions are defined as 99.2% (or above) pure oxygen. Boost Oxygen is Supplemental Breathing Oxygen (95% pure). Although both are produced in a similar manner, Boost Oxygen is designed for people looking to experience the benefits of purified oxygen in the different facets of their life.

Question: Why Aromatherapy Scents?

ANSWER: Boost Oxygen comes in Natural (unscented) and three aromatherapy fragrances – Pink Grapefruit, Peppermint and Menthol-Eucalyptus. We also produce THINK TANK, an oxygen nootropic with Rosemary aroma. Our aromas are all-natural, completely safe for inhalation and water soluble. Aromatherapy is the art and science of using naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit.

Question: How Do I Use Boost Oxygen?

ANSWER: Place the mask over your mouth (don’t cover your nose), pull the trigger and breathe in the air and hold for 1-2 seconds, then exhale like you would normally breathe. Watch the below YouTube video where Katie explains how to use Boost Oxygen:

Question: How many inhalations are in a canister of Boost Oxygen?

ANSWER: Our 2-Liter Pocket Size (small) Boost Oxygen canisters contain over 2 liters of Oxygen. This equates to approximately 40 one-second inhalations. Our new 3-Liter Pocket Size canisters contain over 3 liters of Oxygen. This equates to approximately 60 one-second inhalations. Our Pocket Size canisters are perfect for a quick trip to the store or lunch with friends. Our Medium and Large canisters hold more Oxygen and are better suited for daily and weekly home use. Medium Boost Oxygen canisters contain 5 liters of Oxygen, which is up to 100 one-second inhalations. Large Boost Oxygen canisters contain 10 liters of Oxygen, which equates to over 200 seconds of continuous oxygen flow, or over 200 one-second inhalations.

Question: What’s the difference between Boost Oxygen and the air I breathe?

ANSWER: In normal conditions, the air we breathe contains around 21% oxygen. Many people are surprised to read that fact. The majority of the air we breathe is  78% nitrogen. That’s also not taking into account any pollution in the air. Boost Oxygen is 95% PURE supplemental oxygen. It contains nearly 5X the pure oxygen you breathe normally.

Question: Is Boost Oxygen FDA approved?

ANSWER: While Boost Oxygen is considered an oxygen supplement, we are regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and not the FDA. No supplemental oxygen product is FDA approved. If they claim to be, they are not being honest. Our product is intended to help people feel better, recover fast and improve performance for altitude, working out, sports and general health and wellness – not for the treatment of any sickness.

Question: Is Boost Oxygen like an energy drink or coffee?

ANSWER: We’ve all seen the energy drinks at the gas station or grocery store, in so many varieties and flavors, which promise a quick fix for your drowsiness. What they contain is caffeine, sugars, carbs and calories that can be harmful to your health or cause you to crash after their effects expire – forcing you to drink even more to avoid that crash. The same can be said of the effect of coffee on your body. Boost Oxygen has no caffeine, sugar, carbs or calories. There is no sugar crash with Boost Oxygen. Supplemental oxygen is completely natural and more relaxing and restorative than energy drinks or coffee. Breathing Boost Oxygen can help improve cognitive performance, memory and reaction time and also makes you feel more alert and energetic.

Question: Is Boost Oxygen flammable?

ANSWER: This is by far THE MOST common misconception we see posted about oxygen. Oxygen itself is NOT flammable and does NOT burn. But it can feed an EXISTING fire, so it’s dangerous to use any oxygen tank around something that is burning because it will help the fire burn more quickly. In other words, oxygen isn’t the problem – it’s the existing fire. Watch this video from Live with Kelly and Ryan to see the proof during their experiment involving a balloon filled with pure oxygen (the oxygen experiment starts at 2:00 into the video)

Question: Does Boost Oxygen have any side effects?

ANSWER: There are no side effects to Boost Oxygen. Oxygen is completely safe and natural.

Question: Can I bring Boost Oxygen on a commercial flight?

ANSWER: Although Boost Oxygen is all-natural and safe, the FAA and TSA do not allow recreational oxygen in carry-on or checked baggage. Here is the link for the FAA’s guidance on liquid and compressed oxygen.

Question: Can I recycle Boost Oxygen canisters?

ANSWER: Our canisters are made out of aluminum, which means they are recyclable. They can be disposed of along with the normal cans you recycle everyday!

Question: Do I need a prescription for Boost Oxygen?

ANSWER: No, you do not need a prescription to purchase and use Boost Oxygen. It is not medical-grade oxygen, which is prescribed by a doctor or physician.

Question: Why is Boost Oxygen so lightweight? Is my canister empty?

ANSWER: Oxygen gas is virtually weightless. Boost Oxygen cans are very light, but they are guaranteed as full. The weight of a full can feels empty as the oxygen inside has no discernible mass. This weight advantage makes Boost Oxygen cans convenient to carry anywhere. We even place a sticker on each canister telling customers our cans are lightweight. Customers have suggested that we should add weight to the cans, but we believe that would be disingenuous and it would also add additional cost to the consumer.

Bonus Question: Where can you buy Boost Oxygen?

ANSWER: Boost Oxygen is available nationwide at retailers everywhere like CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and many more. You can find a store near you that carries Boost using our website store locator. We recommend calling ahead to make sure they have it in stock! You can also buy Boost Oxygen online on Amazon or our website store. Because Boost Oxygen must be delivered by ground shipping (oxygen can’t be delivered by air), it can take several days for people to receive their order – so we recommend getting Boost from a local store if you need it now!
