As Boost Oxygen is a new product
and many TSA agents may not
yet know how to treat your personal can of oxygen at airport
security points, you may want to print out
this page to show to them in the event they wish to confiscate
your Boost Oxygen.
Reprinted from
TSA Official Website:
“Medical Oxygen and Respiratory-Related Equipment”
“Supplemental personal medical oxygen and other
respiratory-related equipment and devices (e.g. nebulizer,
respirator) are permitted through the screening checkpoint
once they have undergone screening. Any respiratory
equipment that cannot be cleared during the inspection
process will not be permitted beyond the screening
checkpoint.”
Other items to consider:
-
Boost Oxygen is packed in
a lightweight Aluminum can similar to carry-on shaving cream
or styling mousse. It is NOT a thick, heavy, high-pressure
Industrial Cylinder or Cartridge.
-
Boost Oxygen is not an
Aerosol. The Department of Transportation defines an
‘aerosol’ as a liquid, powder or paste dispensed by a
propellant. Boost Oxygen is just 95% Pure Oxygen.
-
Oxygen Gas is not
Flammable or Explosive- it does not burn. It is an
accelerant, but is not a fuel source.
-
Oxygen is not Poisonous.
Remember- the air quality
and oxygen levels on commercial airplanes can be very poor!
Boost Oxygen is your ‘Breath of Fresh Air” at 30,000 feet.
Feel Better. Recover Faster.
Improve Performance.
